Recommendations

It is recommended that you consult your doctor before prescribing for this medication. However the general recommended dose of generic avodart is 0.5 mg once daily, with or without food. As every man's prostate may vary, you need to ensure which strength is the correct dosage for you, and also to ensure you do not suffer any side effects. For men, who suffer from enlarged prostate, Dutaseride is the chemical found in Generic Avodart, which helps reduce the size of the prostate, thus reducing the build up of enzymes that cause the condition. Dutaseride helps reduce benign prostatic hyperplasia symptoms such as reduced urine flow, urgency to pass urine more frequently, especially at night, or difficulty in ejecting your urine.

Precautions

If your doctor has instructed or directed you to take Generic Avodart medication in a regular schedule and you have missed a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the doses unless otherwise directed. There are several different generic versions for Avodart, however they all contain the one main ingredient known as Dutaseride. However, it must be noted that side effect do occur with this medication such as impotence, decreased libido, or possibly in cases, premature ejaculation. Therefore it is imperative that you stick to the schedule given to you by your doctor, and any of these symptoms are temporary and should subside after a month or so, as your body adjusts to the medication.

Usage

Dutaseride is a medication which should only be used by adult men, and should not be taken by women or children. After taking your daily medication, remember to return it to it's storage place. Failure to do so may result in diminished product quality over time. Your medicine has a shelf life of 18 months from date of production.

While taking this medicine, what are the signs of negative side effects?

Some of the most obvious side effects to taking Dutaseride are temporary impotence and reduced libido. As the principal of this medication are to prevent the build up of enzymes which covert testosterone into dihydrotestosterone, you may experience complete impotence for a few weeks until your body becomes immune to the medication. Therefore please monitor this, and try to stick the recommended schedule provided to you by your doctor, and monitor the situation and it's side effects. It is recommended that you take one 0.5mg capsule a day, but preferably at the same time each day. Generic Avodart can also interact with other medications such as:

• antibiotics,

It is advisable that you reduce any possible intake of large amounts of alcohol, excessive smoking, caffeine or use of illegal drugs. If so, the medication will not operate at it's desired level, and the recovery process will take a much longer time period than necessary.
